David Ayer has struggled to release his cut of Suicide Squad. A new photo from his cut of the film changes the fate of a key character.

David Ayer PUSHES the Ayer Cut from Suicide Squad

David Ayer has been an acclaimed filmmaker who wrote the Oscar-winning film Training Day. The filmmaker has made some great films including End of Watch, Fury, and most recently directed the Jason Statham starrer The Beekeeper. The director also played in the superhero sandbox with 2016's Suicide Squad which was sadly panned by critics and fans alike.

Since the film's release, Ayer has spoken about how studio interference resulted in a worse cut of the film and he has campaigned for him to cut Suicide Squad to see the light of day. He has spoken a lot about the film he has made and continues to push for the film to be released at some point. On the 8th anniversary of the film's release, he posted some images from his cut of the film confirming the fate of a key character.

2016's Suicide Squad was a nightmare for fans as the film did not turn out as they hoped. The disjointed story, forgettable villain, and inconsistent characters kept it from being a great movie. Despite being a box office success, David Ayer himself has expressed disdain for the theatrical cut and has revealed that he has a superior cut of the film.
