Just before her 13th birthday, Mary Mouser recalled being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which took a remarkable toll on the actress during her teenage years, as Mouser was "scared and overwhelmed by her diagnosis." But she didn't let that hold her back, and things eventually improved for the actress when she started using a Tandem insulin pump, which she is now an ambassador for.
