While Cobie Smulders' Robin Scherbatsky had her issues, making her one of the most divisive characters from the sitcom, there is one aspect of the character that is universally loved. The introduction of Robin Sparkles, the stage persona she used during her time as a Canadian pop sensation, in Season 2 of How I Met Your Mother instantly clicked with fans.
But fans aren't the only ones who enjoyed going down memory lane to learn about Robin's exotic past, as filming the music videos as Sparkles was also Smulders' favorite thing to do on the sitcom.
After her first appearance in the Season 2 episode Slap Bet, where Barney and the gang learn about her teenage alter ego, Robin Sparkles became an instant hit with fans. While fans have had issues with Robin as a character, especially after the infamous ending, the reception of her teenage alter ego was generally positive.
