Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is a High Elder Vidyadhara from Xianzhou Luofu who was reincarnated from Dan Feng, the last Imbibitor Lunae. Dan Feng was part of the High Cloud Quintet, with Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Blade and Baiheng, a group of five heroes in Xianzhou history. He later committed an unforgivable crime against Luofu and was forced to undergo hatching rebirth, reincarnated as Dan Heng.

Vidyadhara is part of the Long Scions, which are a dragon-like species that respawns. During the hatching rebirth, a Vidyadhara is reincarnated in their body, extending their lifespan indefinitely. However, Vidyadharas are not immortal and can die if badly wounded, preventing them from undergoing hatching rebirth. High Elders in Vidyadhara can transform into dragons and are the leaders of their society.
