1. Getting Started. Log in to the EPF online web portal.
2. Click on Establishment tab. Once logged in, click on Establishment tab and from the drop-down menu select Digital Signature.
3. Submit Required Details.
4. Click on Java Link.
5. Type PIN.
6. Register.
7. View Registered Signature.
8. Download PDF.

Once the Employer Registration is successfully completed and the username and password has been obtained, it is mandatory to register the DSC (Digital Signature) of the Employer.

Following is the brief process flow:

1. Login to Employer Interface of Unified Portal of EPFO.
2. Then go to Establishment and select DSC/e-Sign.
3. After this, click on e-Sign.
4. Now, enter Virtual ID and basic details of the authorised signatory.
5. Click on view DSC/e-Sign registration at the top on right hand side.

1. Click on the ‘Register DSC’ link available on the MCA portal homepage.
2. On the next screen, click on the ‘Director’ link on the left hand panel and fill-up your DIN.
3. System shall verify that the DIN is valid and approved.
4. Fill-up rest of the particulars and ensure that details filled are as per DIR-3.

Following are the steps to submit & update employees KYC details in Employees Provident Fund Account:

1. Login to establishment unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in.
2. Select “Approvals” under Member tab on the left side of the page.
3. Select the option “DSC KYC” on the right side of the page.
4. Attach Digital Signature to the system.

It may be noted that only Class 2 or Class 3 Digital Signature Certificates would be needed for the work related to EPFO.

Authorised signatory of establishments whose DSC is already registered can directly activate their e-Sign by providing Aadhaar at Unified Portal. Authorised signatory whose DSC is not available at Unified Portal can register their eSign at Unified Portal and get it approved from concerned EPFO field office.

Install your digital certificate in your browser

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on “Tools” on the toolbar and select “Internet Options”.
3. Select the “Content” tab.
4. Click the “Certificates” button.
5. In the “Certificate Import Wizard” window, click the “Next” button to start the wizard.
6. Click the “Browse…” button.

Insert the provided token and wait for the dialogue box to appear. Click on the Open folders to view files, three directories Mac/Linux/Windows will be displayed. Browse to the directory according to your operating system and install the driver. To view click on view button.

Next, enter the UAN, password and the captcha to Sign in. Upon successful login, select the ‘KYC’ option in the drop down menu under the ‘Manage’ tab. The documents can be viewed under the ‘Digitally Approved KYC’ tab by EPF account holders. The tab will show a list of accepted and checked documents.

Employer needs to connected the DSC token to Laptop or Desktop and follow the below steps to successfully register your digital signature certificate in EPFO portal : Step – 1 Login to Unified Employers Portal then in home page go to Establishment under menu bar tab then click on DSC / E-SIGN.

Java is a computer programming language needed to run some software programmes. So it is always better to install the latest version of Java. Browsers Required For EPF DSC: If you are a Chrome user then you need to install a Google Chrome version less than 42, if you are a Mozilla Firefox user then you need to install version 48.

If you use above versions then your PF digital signature will not work properly in EPF employer portal. Go to Chrome browser settings or click Alt+F and click on help and now click on about Google Chrome to know the version of your Chrome browser.

You can approve your KYC information for your member online using UAN EPFO portal. In order to approve your employees KYC (Know your customer), DSC (Digital Signature) must be registered in your portal. To approve you are required to login employer portal by visiting https://unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in.
