How To Report Phishing

Here is how you can report a fraudulent Gmail account.

1. Visit https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse?hl=en.
2. Provide the email address on which you have received the spam email.
3. Share complete Gmail address of the person who has sent you the email.
4. Provide email headers of the message.

How to Report Spam Email on Gmail?

1. Open Gmail on your computer.
2. Find the spam email and select it.
3. Go to the top menu and hover over the icon with an exclamation mark.
4. Click Report Spam.

Mark emails as spam

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app . Note: If you don’t have the Gmail app, download it.
2. Select one or more emails.
3. In the top right, tap More. Report spam.

Clicking on a phishing link or opening an attachment in one of these messages may install malware, like viruses, spyware or ransomware, on your device. This is all done behind the scenes, so it is undetectable to the average user.

Tip: When you tap Report spam or manually move an email into your Spam folder, Google will receive a copy of the email and may analyze it to help protect our users from spam and abuse.

If you report spam, Google will get a copy of up to 10 of the spammer’s last messages so we can improve spam detection across Google products. Your past replies to the spammer are not sent to Google. Your name and phone number are not linked to the spammer’s messages. The spammer won’t see or know about your report.

But if you can’t find the message in one of those three labels (All Mail, Trash, or Spam) then you must have accidentally deleted it instead. after pressing the REPORT NOT SPAM button, the message immediately moved out of the spam folder.

When you mark a message as spam or phishing, it’s moved from your Inbox to your Spam folder. Messages from the same sender might be sent to Spam in the future.

Posting spam: Just like the first option, reporting an account as spam will block the account for you and may lead Instagram to investigate the user’s activity. Posting inappropriate content: Reporting inappropriate content is taken more seriously by Instagram.

The reports will only be considered when it is validated by Instagram’s team. Accounts posting vulgur, abusive, anti-social content or such other stuff are more likely to be pulled down in 3 to 4 reports. Instagram never wants it’s Community Guidelines to be broken.

So would you like know who reports you on Instagram, but does not know if such information can be obtained. Well, your doubts are well founded: for privacy reasons, Instagram does not allow you to discover the exact identity of the users who report content on the platform.

Instagram adds up the number of follows and unfollows as well as blocking the unwanted users. In total, you can’t take more than 1440 actions on your account daily. Make sure you spread out these actions accordingly. Violation of Instagram rules leads to a temporary block.

Account deactivation (permanent ban). This is very rare but may happen if your account gets reported for violating Instagram Terms of Services by others (such as posting prohibited content) while simultaneously trying to game the system by running bots or selling likes as a service.

If content is found to be removed in error, we will restore the post and remove the violation from the account’s record. We’ve always given people the option to appeal disabled accounts through our Help Center, and in the next few months, we’ll bring this experience directly within Instagram.

If your account was deleted by you or someone with your password, there’s no way to restore it. You can create a new account with the same email address you used before, but you may not be able to get the same username.

What happens if somebody breaches the Community Guidelines? It is our policy to remove content that violates our community guidelines. We may remove entire posts if either the imagery or associated captions violate our guidelines. We also may disable entire accounts for violations of our Community Guidelines.

Open your Instagram App. Instagram is very strict about reactivating accounts. You must also consider that if you deactivate your account temporarily, Instagram disables it only for one week.
