1. All genuine Bulgari jewelry is stamped with an authentic Bulgari hallmark, the brand’s name, respective metal type and “MADE IN ITALY.”
2. As Bulgari uses the classic Latin alphabet when printing their hallmark, the “U” is replaced with a “V” and is written as “BVLGARI.” Counterfeits often overlook this spelling.

The serpent first appeared in Bulgari’s jewelry collection in the late 1940s in the form of a yellow-gold watch, distinguishable by its hand-coiled precious metal—or tubogas—bracelet.
