Vanish mode lets people in a chat send each other messages, photos, videos and other content that will disappear once they leave the conversation after having seen all the messages. To turn vanish mode on or off for your chat: From Chats, tap a conversation to open it.

If you take a screenshot when Vanish mode is active, the other person will be notified about it. So be careful. However, screenshot notifications aren’t sent when you screenshot regular messages.

If you’re not seeing vanish mode on Instagram, you’ll want double check that you have the updated version of messaging that integrates Facebook Messenger features. If you don’t, you can easily update your Instagram messaging by tapping your DM icon at the top right of your screen.

It’s not enhancing cheating. If someone wants to cheat they are going do to it regardless of a application having Vanish mode. People cheated before the app they will continue to cheat after the fact.
