Q. What is DAV thrift store?
The Disabled American Veteran’s Thrift Stores’ goal is to provide quality merchandise at excellent prices to our customers in a clean, inviting store, giving outstanding service, while providing our employees a healthy, rewarding work environment.
Q. Does DAV take donations?
While we do accept most donated items, there are some items we do not accept, including: Entertainment centers. Headboards, with built in shelving. Tube televisions (unless they have built in VCR/DVD)
Q. Does DAV take electronics?
ELECTRONIC: Stereo, radio, Xbox, Nintendo, Playstation, computers, laptops, monitors, DVD players, cameras, typewriters, and electronics. All types of small kitchen appliances.
Q. What does the DAV do with donated clothing?
The vast majority of your donations end up in thrift stores and with people who can use your items. We recycle almost all of what’s left. 90% of what we collect will either be sold by a thrift store or recycled.
Q. What will DAV not take?
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED
- NO LARGE FURNITURE: Couches, sofas, sleeper couches, box springs and mattresses.
- NO LARGE APPLIANCES: Washers/dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and stoves.
- OTHER: Tires, food, any type of fuel, cash or checks. No hazardous materials please.
- Not accepting TVs at this time.
