Send and receive invitations in Calendar on iPhone

1. Tap the event, then tap Edit near the top of the screen.
2. Tap Invitees. If you don’t see Invitees, swipe up.
3. Enter the names or email addresses of people you want to invite, or tap. to select Contacts.
4. Tap Done.

When someone invites you to share Activity or compete, a notification appears on your Apple Watch. Tap Accept or Ignore….Accept an invite

1. Open the Fitness app on your iPhone, then tap the Sharing tab.
2. Tap the Account icon at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Accept or Ignore.

Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Do either of the following: Share all new subscriptions: Turn on Share New Subscriptions. When you purchase a new subscription that’s eligible for sharing, it’s shared with your family members by default.

Try restarting both the Apple Watch and the iPhone, and then wait a little while. Then see if you can send invitations now. According to these two Apple Support forums [1] and [2], try un-pairing and re-pairing the Apple Watch.

Try the steps below and let me know if it helps:

1. Go to Settings > Your name on top.
2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out.
3. Go back to Settings > Sign in to your ‘device’ section and then enter your Apple ID and password.
4. See if you can ‘Sign In’.
5. Now try adding your friend or look for the invitation.

If you can’t accept the invitation, see if someone else joined a family with your Apple ID or is sharing purchased content from your Apple ID. Remember, you can only join one family at a time, and you can only switch to a different family group once per year.
