You’ll get your unofficial verbal, quantitative, integrated reasoning, and total scores immediately after finishing the GMAT. You can decided whether you want to keep or cancel these scores. Your official GMAT score report will be available within 20 calendar days after you take the test.

2. Click the “Send GMAT Online Score” button.
3. Search for and select programs to receive your score.
4. Verify your program selection and click the “Send GMAT Online Score”

First, some perspective: A score of 490 is in the 32nd percentile at a time when the median GMAT for enrolled students at Harvard is in the 96th percentile. It’s decidedly well below the 544 average score and there are some schools that would immediately toss the application in the rejection pile.

Generally, a GMAT score of 700 – 740 is a good score and a GMAT score of 740+ is an excellent score. However, a good GMAT score would vary from person to person and would depend on the target business schools….GMAT Score – Percentile Ranking.

A GMAT score between 650 and 690 is good, and a score of 700 or higher is great, MBA experts say.

The most significant difference between GMAT and GRE is that the GMAT is used exclusively for business school admissions whereas the GRE is used for a wide variety of graduate programs. You can submit your GRE score to business schools. However, there are business schools that only accept the GMAT score.

Math Skills Experts say that although the quantitative section is harder on the GMAT than on the GRE for most test-takers, the GMAT may be easier for those who prefer logic problems over geometry questions because there are more geometry questions on the GRE.

Most top business schools, like Harvard, Stanford and Wharton, have averages around 730. This means that a 740 score, “good” by most standards, is only +10 from a school’s average, but a 770 score is +40 points. Those +40 points can be used to directly raise the average.
