Here’s How to Stop Facebook Friends From Seeing Your Posts

1. Step 1: Go the profile of the user you’d like to add to your Restricted List.
2. Step 2: Tap the “Friends” button under the user’s name.
3. Step 3: Tap “Edit Friend Lists.”
4. Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the list, and tap “Restricted” to add a check mark to this row.

When you restrict a friend on Facebook, they can no longer read your private posts. Facebook doesn’t notify the people you restrict, nor does it remove them from your friends list. The restricted profile simply won’t be able to access posts you’ve made available to only your friends.

Tap in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name. Scroll down to the post you want to edit. Tap on the post, then tap Edit Privacy. Select who can see the post from the options that appear (example: Public, Friends, Only Me).

Tap a friend’s name in your friends list or on a post of theirs in your News Feed, tap the Friends button, then tap Take a Break. Under the Limit What [name of friend] Will See section, tap See Options, then tap “Hide your posts from [name of friend].” Doing so will put the friend on your Restricted list.

Hiding an individual post Just click the button immediately to the left of the blue “Post” button when typing a status update. Just like using the Privacy Settings page, you can choose to block individual people from seeing the post using the “custom” option.

Go to Settings and Privacy, select Privacy in the left-hand pane, and click on Limit Past Posts. This option automatically hides all your public posts from the Public and sets them to Friends only.

4 Restricting Friends Unclick them from any other lists, and click on “Restricted.” After that, the friend will only be able to see your photos and posts that are listed as “Public.”

However, the general rule of thumb is to unfriend people you don’t want to see/engage on your feed, leaving open the door of future communication. On the other hand, block people when you need them in a position where they can never make future contact with you on Facebook (except they do so with another account).

Now here is how you find the so called “restricted list of friends” on Facebook: Login to your Facebook account, click the “settings” icon and select “account settings”. Click “Blocking” in the left sidebar. In the next page, select “Edit list” under the section “Restricted list”, as shown in the following example: When you click “Edit”, you will be able to add or remove Facebook friends to your restricted list.

Open Facebook.
