Follow these steps to resolve the issue.

1. Press the POWER key to turn the machine off.
2. Open the tape compartment cover and remove the tape cassette.
3. Examine the area by the two black rollers and the tape exit area.
4. Reinstall the tape cassette into the machine and close the tape compartment cover.

Be sure to clean the cutting mechanism of any debris. This will prevent it from cutting the receipt paper. Open the printer cover to check to make sure there is enough paper on the receipt roll and that is has not bunched up inside the hardware. Make sure there is no debris on the paper, the cutter, or the print head.

How can I reset the printer?

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold the Power ( ) and Cutter ( ) Buttons for about one second.
3. Continue holding down the Power ( ) Button, and press the Cutter ( ) Button six times to reset all settings (including device settings) to the factory settings.
4. Release the Power ( ) Button.
