Renesmee (pronounced Ruh-nez-may) Carlie Cullen was born on September 11, 2006 to Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

Renesmee’s name derives from an amalgamation of the names of Bella’s mother, Renée, and her adoptive mother-in-law, Esme. Her middle name, Carlie, is a portmanteau of Bella’s father-in-law, Carlisle, and Charlie, Bella’s biological father. Her full name is Renesmee Carlie Cullen.

One of the most noticeable things about Breaking Dawn — Part 2 is Renesmee Cullen’s early years. She’s very obviously a CGI baby and toddler. But if you were to ever see the animatronic Renesmee that stood in for the child before they used real-life babies and toddlers… that’s the stuff of nightmares.

Twilight: Why Renesmee’s CGI Was So Bad Renesmee Cullen was obviously not a normal child. There were a lot of things that the Breaking Dawn crew wanted Renesmee to have, so much that it ended up being a case of overabundance of CGI that only made her look like a very strange (and even a bit nightmare inducing) baby.

When Rosalie first told Bella about when she was turned she told her about her past and how jealous she was of her one friend who had a baby. Rosalie wanted to have a child and had those chances stolen from her she was turned into a vampire. Rosalie cared for Bella because she cared for the child. She wanted the baby.

Fellow coven member Laurent says that James is unusually gifted at what he does and always gets what he wants, though it is later revealed that then-human Alice Cullen escaped him years ago by being turned into a vampire before James could attack her. Unlike the Cullen family, he drinks human blood.

While the two never got married in real life, it seemed like that was on the horizon for Robsten. Fans loved how they supported each other through their different projects outside of Twilight. For a while, it felt like their relationship was the perfect young Hollywood romance.

At the end of Eclipse, she becomes engaged to Edward Cullen (who is still physically 17), and they marry in Breaking Dawn, one month prior to her 19th birthday. On their honeymoon, she becomes pregnant, and, due to the peculiar nature of her baby, Bella nearly dies giving birth to their daughter, Renesmee.
