If a zombie attacks one of your villagers, it will turn them into a zombie villager. You can cure them by using a Splash Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple.

Feed the zombie villager the golden apple, done by facing the zombie villager and pressing the use key. If done correctly, the zombie villager will begin to emit red particles and start shaking. Note that Iron bars and beds will speed up the curing process.

How to Cure a Zombie Pigman. Zombified piglins are not curable. You cannot feed them any golden apples, and they are not affected by regeneration. Once a piglin or pig turns into a zombified piglin there is no saving them.

Villagers can die in all sorts of ways. They can be struck by lightning, turned to witches, murdered by hostiles, suffocated, starved to death… the list goes on. That said, the basics of keeping your voxel-based simpletons alive are, fittingly, pretty simple.

Zombies. Zombies will kill villagers, or convert them to zombie villagers. The chance that the villager will become a zombie villager on death is 0% on Easy, 50% on Normal, and 100% on Hard.

They are also human mobs that resemble villagers, which causes zombies to be attached to them. Witches would throw splash potions of healing in defense, and illagers would fight back as they normally do.

Mobs (excluding Zombies, Spiders and Slimes) cannot draw line of sight through glass. And I think this one in particular is more than relevant : Endermen can’t see the player through transparent blocks such as glass/glass panes.

So Ghasts can’t see through glass!

Currently the way it works is that only zombie-type mobs can see through doors, and only when a villager is behind the door. So mobs can see through doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, glass, stained glass, glass panes, and stained glass panes.

They can’t see through glass until they are aggressive.

Skeletons and pillagers can break through glass windows. Mobs will be able to see through glass and other semi-transparent blocks on Hard mode.

Zombie villagers that have been cured and are used to start a new village (player made) never breed, even if given more than enough food/beds. This does not affect naturally spawned/bred villagers.

Not all zombies/skeletons will be able to pick up items though: picking up items is random. Basically, you just drop the items to them. They will only pick them up if the items they have aren’t better. So, for instance, if they have a diamond chestplate, they won’t pick up an iron one.

They don’t actually need to sleep, either, but they have to think they can sleep (again, by being able to pathfind to their bed, even if they aren’t actually able to physically move there).

Villagers and iron golems will do nothing when you break down their houses or steal from their chests. The chests at the blacksmith can contain great items, like obsidian and diamond.

Villagers can resupply twice per day, even without having a bed or while sitting in a minecart.

Pillagers will look for chests and barrels at villagers or players houses, steal its contents and bring it to hiding barrels (buried, inside caves, etc). Pillagers kill farms to steal meat, wool, and leather.
