The AMD Dual Graphics technology (or Radeon Dual Graphics) can combine the processing power of the integrated video of an A-series processor (also called “APU” by the manufacturer) with a Radeon “real” video card, in order to increase performance on games and 3D applications.

Insert the first video card in its slot and press down on it firmly until it snaps in place. Use a screwdriver to screw the metal plate on the end of the card if necessary. Repeat the process to install the second video card. Connect power to either or both of the cards if they have separate power connectors.

They will not work on the same task (game/video coding) at the same time. Normal scenario, your apu will be sitting idle all the time unless you connect a second monitor to it in which case it will still barely do anything.

Some laptops come equipped with two Graphics Processing Units (GPU)….To allow this behavior, do the following:

1. Right-click on desktop and open the NVIDIA control Panel.
2. Go to Manage 3D settings.
3. Choose “Auto-select” as Preferred graphics processor.
4. Close and now you should have the blue power button.

Yes, this can technically work—both cards will give you graphical output. However, different cards cannot be linked together to function as a GPU array (CrossFire or SLI), so you generally won’t be able to use them together to render graphics in games. The cards will operate independently of each other.
