With a point and click, the new Quik-Tik program will allow the company’s most frequent customers to avoid lines at ticket windows and vending machines.

How many zones can I ride? Any monthly rail pass valued at $59 or more can be used on River Line, Newark Light Rail or Hudson-Bergen Light Rail during the period it is valid. For bus travel, the number of zones you can ride is printed on the pass, based on its value.

Metro-North provides service west of the Hudson River on trains from Hoboken Terminal, New Jersey, jointly run with NJ Transit under contract. There are two branches: the Port Jervis Line and the Pascack Valley Line. Metro-North equipment has been used on other NJ Transit lines on the Hoboken division.

NJ TRANSIT will resume accepting cash fares on board buses in the coming weeks as protective barriers are installed near the bus operator. Customers are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets prior to boarding using the NJ TRANSIT mobile app and ticket vending machines (TVMs).

Light rail tickets are available from Ticket Vending Machines at the light rail stations. Major bus boarding locations offer Ticket Vending Machines, ticket offices, or customers may pay onboard. If there are no ticket purchasing facilities at the station (such as a booking office or a ticket machine, or they are closed/out of service), you may be able to buy your ticket on board the train.

One-way and round-trip mobile tickets do not expire. They are valid until activated. FLEXPASS is valid for 30 days from and including the date of purchase. All tickets associated with a FLEXPASS must be used before the 30-calendar day expiry.

FLEXPASS will consist of 20 one-way tickets between one customer-selected origin and one destination and will be sold at a 20% discount off the one-way fare. FLEXPASS tickets will be available for purchase on bus, rail and light rail, and will only be offered for purchase via the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App during the pilot.
