The show officially starts in 2009, when three significant events take place. First, Jay and Gloria marry each other, causing the families some concern due to the age difference. Next, Mitchell and Cameron adopt Lily from Vietnam but are reluctant to tell the family the news.

Joe was first portrayed by twin girls Rebecca and Sierra Mark in Season 4. For Season 5 Rebecca and Sierra Mark were replaced by Pierce Wallace. For Season 7, Pierce Wallace was replaced by Jeremy Maguire beacause they wanted to age the actor up, as they needed someone who could walk, talk and speak their lines.

In fact, Sarah Hyland was no more prepared for Frank’s death ahead of the series finale than Modern Family’s viewers. Hyland explained saying via ET: So I don’t read scripts of the episodes of Modern Family that I’m not in, so I just found out that my grandpa’s dead along with all of you.

On Modern Family, Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil Dunphey (Ty Burrell) stayed together. In real life, Bowen divorced her husband Scott Phillips in 2018 after 13 years of marriage. She didn’t even realize the divorce was final.

Jeremy Maguire (born August 10, 2011) is an American child actor. He is most known for playing Joe Pritchett on the sitcom Modern Family from 2015 to 2020….Television.

Throughout the whole series of Modern Family, Luke’s age skips around, especially in season one. When the show first started, Luke was 10 years old, which is clear when Claire mentions it in the episode “Coal Digger,” and, in theory, he should have turned 11 years old by the episode “Fizbo.”
