Add to this a selection of other solid rides and a great setting, and Hong Kong Disneyland is a park that is really coming into its own. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that it’s a one-park resort in a foreign country with a surplus of unoriginal attractions.

Disneyland Hong Kong is the smallest of the theme parks and while it has expanded noticeably over the past year, it very much remains a park that can be comfortably visited in 1 day. However many families to much enjoy spending two days there, spending one night at the Disney hotels.

Best Time to Visit Hong Kong Disneyland: The best time for a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland, is when the weather is relatively dry and temperatures are comfortable, usually between November and April.

DISNEYLAND HONG KONG BUDGET

Its size is inverse to its cost. The park is too small, and the admission is too expensive. Critics point out that Hong Kong Disneyland’s entry fee is higher than Tokyo Disneyland, which charges 7,400 yen ($66.09) for adults aged 18-64, and Shanghai Disneyland, which sets weekday ticket prices at 370 yuan ($53.80).

Over the past few years, though, the park has grown to call for more than half a day to enjoy. My recommendation is to visit the park for a full 2 days to enjoy both the park and the wonderful restaurants at three of their beautiful hotels.

Cantonese, Mandarin, and English are all commonly-spoken languages by Cast Members at Hong Kong Disneyland. Some attractions and aspects of the park are not in English, but as English-speaking guests, we did not at all feel isolated or at a disadvantage.

Hong Kong is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in. In fact, the city is currently ranked as the place with the highest cost of living for expats. But to simply visit, this sprawling metropolis packed with cheap eats, outdoor activities and gorgeous natural and man-made landscapes can be a bargain.
