Cut a length of 22 gauge wire, mine was about two inches long. Strip off about 1/2 inch of insulation and carefully lay the wire across what is left of the pin. Solder the wire onto the broken pin. Remove the chip and the wire from their holders, and cut the wire to the same length as the other pins.

3. finally solder a tiny piece of tinned tiny wire (30 awg or 28 awg) to connect the trace to a header pin or something.

3. Place your copper tape over the track.
4. Solder the joints.
5. Restore the circuit board through-hole.
6. Place and solder your component.
7. Trim excess tape from the repaired area.

How to Know if a PCB Is Bad?

1. Test the PCB with the power on, if electronic components are installed.
2. Remove any power source from the PCB if one exists.
3. Look for scratches, burn marks or misplaced solder.
4. Ground the board at one of the screw holes for mounting using a ground lead provided with your tool.
