There are many great Apple Watch faces that you can use. But if you're like me, chances are you like to use different watch faces for different times or places. For example, I like a more formal watch face at work, a more detailed one in the morning, and a simple watch face that doesn't distract at night. Luckily, you can have your Apple Watch change the watch face automatically and always have the perfect watch face ready when you need it. With that, let's take a look at how to automatically change the Apple Watch face based on time or location.

How to change your Apple Watch face AUTOMATICALLY based on time or location!

In this guide, we'll use a couple of different shortcuts to automate the Apple Watch faceplate. While one allows you to change the face of your watch based on a desired time, the other allows you to change the face based on the desired location. Both shortcuts are reliable and don't require much customization, so you don't need to enable untrusted shortcuts to use this guide.

1. To get started, open the Shortcuts app on your paired iPhone and tap the "Automation" tab at the bottom of the screen.

2. Now press Create personal automation and select Time of day. Note that if you have already created automation, you need to tap the "+" button in the upper right corner of the screen and tap Create Personal Automation.
