Stardew Vallet has several main missions to help you get started with the game and its mechanics. But some of them are there just to make it easier for you to get what you want, whether it's friendship points with an NPC or precious gold coins. Such a quest requires an item called pale ale, which we will cover in this guide. But it is not only useful in this mission but also in various other scenarios. So open up your game and get ready to learn all about pale ale in Stardew Valley.

Pale ale is a craft beverage that you can purchase in two ways (see section below). It's an alcoholic drink, so you get the "tipsy" debuff that reduces your movement speed by 1 when you consume it.

Besides that, pale ale will give you 50 energy and 22 health with base quality. You can also make better quality pale ales if you age them in barrels, but more on that later.

To make pale ale, you need to put hops in the barrel and wait until it becomes the desired craft beer. This process will take 1-2 in-game days, but you can immediately get this item if you use fairy dust on the barrel.
