There's a particularly treacherous role in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader's main quest, which can make you think you're permanently stuck on Governor Vyatt's Estate.
Don't worry if you feel like you're permanently stuck in a room during the mission. This is not a softlock, you just need to interact with a certain object to open the way!
