When we talk about music streaming, Spotify is usually the first thing that comes to mind. It is one of the best music streaming services out there and is supported on multiple platforms, including Linux. Although installing Spotify may take more than a couple of clicks depending on the distro you're running, you may prefer to use, say, the Flatpak variant over Snap or DEB or vice versa. If so, here's how to install Spotify on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and most of the popular Linux distributions.
Install Spotify on Linux – Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin OS, MX Linux, Fedora | 2023
Most Ubuntu and Debian-based Linux distros come pre-installed with app stores. Linux Mint, for example, has its own store with a wide variety of apps, and Spotify is one of them. Even Ubuntu 23.04 comes with a dedicated Snap store, de-emphasizing Flatpaks. In that case, the steps look like this:
1. Launch the app store.
2. Search for the Spotify app list using the search bar.
