many of us are avid users of the internet, and that includes surfing the web through a web browser most of the time. Now, no matter what your favorite browser is, we can often close a tab by mistake and then struggle to open it again and browse the page we left last time. or we may accidentally close the entire browser and need the old tabs back. in this post, I am giving our readers the shortest ways to open a recently closed tab and closed tabs by closing the browser window, for all major browsers out there.

Reopen a closed browser tab on desktop and mobile – Restore tabs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari

chrome from google really has the shortest way to open the last closed tab. just press ctrl+shift+t and it will open the last closed tab. you can also open it by right-clicking on the title bar and selecting reopen closed tab from there.

another quick way to open the last tab is to go to history (ctrl+h) and click on the page title you just closed.

if you accidentally close the browser window and want to restore open them, luckily there is a way. google chrome remembers the last 10 tabs you've closed, and you can get them all by pressing ctrl+shift+t repeatedly. however, if you want this to be the default behavior, you can go to the Google Chrome settings and choose to continue where you left off on launch.
