How to use Universal Control for Mac & iPad: Complete Guide!

While I'm going to show you how to set up Universal Control, I'll start the article on what it is and how it works. If you'd rather just skip to the process, use the table below to do so.

Long awaited since WWDC 21, Universal Control is a feature from Apple that allows one to use the cursor and keyboard of one Apple device such as a Mac to control others such as an iPad. So users who have an iPad and a Mac can effectively use a single device's hardware to control both seamlessly. But what makes this special is the expanded functionality.

In addition to just dragging a single cursor across multiple drives, you can easily drag and drop media and files from one drive to another. Universal Control enables this drag and drop transfer for all types of files and supports Mac to iPad and vice versa.
