Unfortunately, players cannot play as a Wizard until they have unlocked it. At the beginning of the game, Dragon's Dogma 2 only allows 4 guilds for players to choose and change in the game and these are Fighter, Mage, Archer and Thief. All advanced and hybrid professions are locked behind quests, including Sorcerer. Here's a quick guide on how to unlock the Sorcerer's Summons in Dragon's Dogma 2. How to Unlock Warrior & Sorcerer Vocation EARLY in Dragons Dogma 2 Tips!

To unlock the Sorcerer vocation, players must reach the town of Vernworth and talk to Klaus in the Vocation Guild. The Vocation Guild is located just below the inn in Vernworth, and you'll find a passage near the inn's entrance. Look for the Vocation Guild sign to easily find the guild.

Then talk to Klaus and select the Change Vocation option. Here you will find the Sorcerer Vocation, but it will not be available to acquire. Close the Change Vocation window and Klaus will tell you that the Sorcerer and Warrior vocations cannot be learned because there are no Archstaffs and two-handed weapons in the vocation guild. Now go over to the Armorer and talk about the lack of weapons. Armorer will send you on a mission to retrieve the weapons from the Trevo Mine, which is a Goblin Lair. Go to Trevo Mine and enter the entrance.
