The Seven Sisters cliffs are made of chalk that formed where the South Downs meet the sea. The cliffs are receding at about 30–40cm each year on average. The process is intermittent with major falls occurring after heavy rain or rough seas, often two of three times per year.

The name is derived from seven elms which were planted in a circle with a walnut tree at their centre on an area of common land known as Page Green. The clump was known as the Seven Sisters by 1732.

The Seven Sister States is a popular term for the contiguous states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura prior to inclusion of the state of Sikkim into the North Eastern Region of India.

Startlingly picturesque, the cliffs are known as the “Seven Sisters” due to the seven distinct hilltops that comprise the silhouette of the cliffs. The bright white color of the stone is thanks to the abundance of chalk that makes up most of the cliff face.

The waterfall is located along the Geirangerfjorden in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The waterfall is located just south of the historic Knivsflå farm, across the fjord from the old Skageflå farm. The falls are about 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) west of the village of Geiranger.

The Seven Sisters are part of a magnificent stretch of coastline between Seaford and Eastbourne, including Beachy Head beauty spot and these photos show them at their finest. The area is designated and protected as a ‘Heritage Coast’ and is the finest example of unprotected chalk cliffs in Britain.

To find Pleiades, you can start by locating the famous constellation Orion, the hunter. Draw a line using the three stars in Orion’s belt and then follow it upward, past his bow. The first bright star you’ll see is Aldebaran, the eye of the bull Taurus, according to EarthSky.

Seven Sisters is a London Overground and London Underground Victoria line station in the Seven Sisters area of the London Borough of Haringey, north London. The station has two entrances/exits, one on Tottenham High Road, and the other on Seven Sisters Road. The station is in Travelcard Zone 3.

Wood Green is a London Underground station on the Piccadilly line. The station is between Turnpike Lane and Bounds Green stations and is in Travelcard Zone 3.

The station is located in Zone 3. Architecturally, Walthamstow Central is a study in contrasts—the Overground station a fine example of mid-Victorian stations, the Underground station left unfinished to this day.
