Deadpool & Wolverine has become the boost the MCU needed to remain relevant in an increasingly hostile environment after the run it had in 2023 and 24. Many people are happy that the film was able to reinvigorate the franchise, as evidenced by its box office numbers, despite its R rating.
Hugh Jackman came back from retirement to rewrite the role of Wolverine again, which seemed to have the effect Marvel expected. However, Jackman seems to have teased that he's not going anywhere, posting a funny tweet at X, continuing a gag Deadpool made in the film.
In Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool excitedly tells Logan that he'll do this until he's 90, given that Hugh Jackman said he won't be returning to play Wolverine ever again after 2017's Logan. Hugh Jackman kept up with that joke and signed X that he would "return" as Wolverine in 2058 when he turns exactly 90 years old.
