Billy Butcher may meet his end in heartbreaking fashion, showing that he may be too far gone for anyone to save.

The Boys: The Death of Billy Butcher #Shorts

Season 5 of The Boys might as well be an illicit gorefest, given that the gloves are off after four seasons of calculated build-up. Now the Homelander is in complete control of the United States of America, and The Boys have been captured by the devious sup. Only Annie and Butcher remain at large, with at least one of them plotting to extricate their allies from the Homelander's clutches.

While Annie January may be on her way to free her allies to take on the Homlander, Billy Butcher plots his way to fight and kill Supe. Butcher currently has the Supe virus, which he intends to release Homelander with. After watching Ryan kill Mallory, Butcher doesn't believe there can be an innocent Supe, and doesn't care to start a mass genocide in an attempt to kill the man who wronged him.

A theory on Reddit has been circulating about how Butcher will meet his end in The Boys, as it's all but officially confirmed that the character will kick it. While some are speculating that he will go out swinging, a majority of the fandom is convinced that the character's death will reflect what has been happening in the comics.
