It's the next game from Heart Machine

Hyper Light Drifter developer Heart Machine takes players to a moody, flooded city in its next game, Possessor(s). Like 2016's Hyper Light Drifter and 2021's Solar Ash, the upcoming Possessor(s) is a fast-paced, stylish game that looks to stay true to Heart Machine's core ethos.

Heart Machine describes Possessor(s) as a "fast-paced action side scroller with combat inspired by platformers, a story told through dangerous characters, set in a deeply interconnected world ripe for exploration." You'll play as two different characters — Luca, the host, and Rehm, her "less than cooperative counterpart" — as they learn to coexist and survive the "interdimensional catastrophe," according to the press release.

The trailer released on Friday shows this action taking place in the fast-paced side-scrolling through the dimly lit city, where Luca and Rehm seem to be the only bastion of color. The trailer sets the tone with slow, mellow music that stands in direct contrast to the tense, fast-paced action on screen.
