Marvel star Emma Corrin felt terrible about her character's brutal treatment of Chris Evans' Human Torch in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Why Emma Corrin Signed Up For 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is generally known for shocking surprises and unexpected moments, and Deadpool & Wolverine is full of several such moments. After bringing back several actors and characters from the giant Marvel universe, one of the film's best cameos was when Chris Evans returned as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch.

However, the brilliance of his cameo was short-lived as he was soon flayed alive by Emma Corrin's Cassandra Nova. While Evans exclaimed that it was a dream come true to reprise her first Marvel role, Corrin revealed in a separate interview that she feels sorry for killing off Evans' character the way she did.

It's not a formidable Marvel villain unless they end up killing off fan favorite characters most brutally. Emma Corrin, as Cassandra Nova, certainly proved herself a worthy opponent as she skinned Chris Evans' Johnny Storm alive within a second. As gruesome as the fan-favorite hero's death was, the event proved pivotal in establishing Nova as the primary antagonist of the Deadpool & Wolverine blockbuster.
