Joaquin Phoenix dodged a question about leaving Todd Haynes' film, fueling further speculation about his abrupt exit.

Joker: Folie À Deux | Official trailer

Joaquin Phoenix may be one of the most star-studded actors in the Hollywood entertainment industry, but he's been getting a lot of negative attention lately. This follows his recent actions of leaving one of Todd Haynes' upcoming projects that he was long attached to just days after everything was set and before production was set to begin.

Lately, no sound reasoning has been revealed as to why Phoenix decided to take this approach due to the abrupt manner in which he left the project. If that wasn't enough, the actor was confronted about the same during a recent event for Joker: Folie à Deux, but his response rather indirectly said that he didn't want to discuss the real reason, which made matters worse.

A while ago, Phoenix made headlines when he and filmmaker Haynes were reported to be attached to a project together. This piece was reportedly an untitled gay romance film and was soon to begin shooting in Guadalajara, Mexico. But just five days before filming, the Joker actor was reported to have dropped out of the project.
