Liev Schreiber originally wanted to return as Sabretooth in 2017's Logan, although he refused to reprise the role in Deadpool & Wolverine.

THIS changed Hugh Jackman's mind about his appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine

Fans will remember Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth from Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and with Hugh Jackman's return in Deadpool & Wolverine, discussion of the iconic character may have resurfaced. The actor is aware of the audience's enthusiasm to see him play the role once more, but it seems he has already done it for good.

Interestingly, Schreiber has previously expressed interest in reprising his role in 2017's Logan and it's an undeniable shame that we didn't get to see him on the big screen.

In his interview last year, Liev Schreiber revealed that he was never asked to return as Sabretooth in Hugh Jackman's Logan in 2017. "They didn't ask me!" he responded to GQ, but he went on to explain that he doesn't believe his role was in any way part of the film's narrative. But given he was offered a return, he said, "I would have loved to bring Victor back, anytime, anywhere".
