The CW series Arrow featured Stephen Amell in the iconic role of Oliver Queen, popularly known by his superhero alias Green Arrow. The show was a huge hit because it spawned the Arrowverse, which included famous superhero shows like The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and many more.

But before the TV series could feature the characters' prominent debuts, it was under enormous pressure to save the network, as it was about to be shut down.

Marc Guggenheim, one of the show's co-creators, opened up about the monumental challenge presented to the show and how everything depended on their series becoming a hit. Despite that, the show endured and not only saved the broadcast channel but also, in the process, became one of the best series created in recent times.
