This bug can only come in handy against the new bosses.

How Elden Ring sets up players

FromSoftware has a long-standing legacy when it comes to creating dark fantasy RPG titles, and their best-selling franchise, Elden Ring, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to features like combat mechanics. Something that has caught the eye of a few. player is an in-game bug that has turned one of the weapons into something more than the studio intended, similar to the trick weapons found in the 2015 PlayStation Exclusive title Bloodborne.

In Bloodborne, players could acquire and experience different versions of certain weapons, allowing them to use different movesets and dish out different damage as deemed appropriate in the situation. However, this feature was never carried over to any games further released by FromSoftware.

Fortunately, players have stumbled upon a bug that allows them to witness a never-before-seen version of the Urumi Whip weapon. As posted on the Elden Ring's Reddit forum, a player has shown how the bug helps extend the whip's range and can help you gain a huge advantage against an enemy, especially those found in the latest Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
