One review claims Fullmetal Alchemist as racist due to the diversity involved and accuses Hiromu Arakawa due to his inclusion of Asian characters.

Fullmetal Alchemist: 5 things you need to know

Fullmetal Alchemist is many things: exciting, funny and dark are some of the words that can best describe it. The only word that stands at the opposite end of the spectrum is racist. Not even in one's wildest dreams could anyone claim that Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist promotes racism.

Yet that's exactly what happened in the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom. A viral post accused Hiromu Arakawa of being racist when he created the series. Of course, loyal fans ran to defend the franchise, and they did it well.

The post in question is a review on Fullmetal Alchemist, where one person states that Fullmetal Alchemist introduces Eastern characters just for the sake of inclusion. The post hilariously says that the anime starts with a blonde boy as the main character, but soon replaces it with Roy Mustang, "an Asian guy."
