Despite not memorizing her lines beforehand, Jennifer Lawrence nailed her scene with Robert De Niro.

2012 was a remarkable year for Jennifer Lawrence both commercially and critically. In addition to kick-starting The Hunger Games franchise which currently stands at $3.3 billion, the actress also headlines David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook, starring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.

Despite playing opposite acting icons, Lawrence, who was 22 at the time, didn't lose ground. Additionally, one of her most impressive scenes from the film was improvised by Lawrence, further justifying her Best Actress Oscar win for the role.

Speaking about the pivotal scene in the film, where Tiffany is accused of ruining the Philadelphia Eagles' winning streak by Robert De Niro's Pat, Lawrence revealed that, for the scene, she "didn't memorize my lines". While the entire scene with De Niro was quite dialogue-heavy and spanned seven pages, the actress refused to prepare for it in advance, joking (via Vanity Fair):
