One Piece and Naruto writers react to Dragon Ball writer Akira Toriyama's death | Summary time

Akira Toriyama made each Dragon Ball character unique. Some were comic relief while others had a darker side to them, but at the end of the day they were all unique. His genius has given birth to both heroes and villains that make up the vast world that the mangaka had created with such care. The amount of work he put into the series was something the whole world came to recognize.

With how long the series lasted and the different versions it received, it was only fair that there were different iterations of fan favorite characters. Goku, who first started out as a monkey, is the biggest example of this. Change happens and it's a common story in all parts of the entertainment industry. Some are for the better while others are for the worse.

During an interview (via Kanzenshuu), Akira Toriyama met with Toyotarō as they discussed the various changes made to Dragon Ball during its time. Of the many villains he had done, Beerus was one who found himself changing many times over. Toriyama said that "in the early version, he did all kinds of bad things."
