India is once again on the list of countries that offer the cheapest mobile data plans and has become the 5th cheapest country globally this year. The report comes from the British company Cable.co.uk, which studied the cost of 1 GB of mobile data in 233 countries. Here's a look at the results.

How much does 1GB of mobile data cost in each country?

A report reveals that India comes 5th in terms of lowest mobile data prices with a cost of $0.17 (~Rs 14). Fourth place has been taken by Fiji with a data cost of USD 0.15 (~Rs 12), San Marino in third place with a cost of USD 0.14 (~Rs 11.17) and Italy in second place with a data cost of 0 .12 USD (~ Rs. 9.57 ). Israel came first with the data cost of USD 0.04 (~Rs 3.19).

The report claims that Israel is a world leader in 5G technology and continues to be one in terms of data prices worldwide. In the case of India, a majority of people depend on mobile data, which increases the demand and as a result costs less.

To recall, back in 2020, a similar study conducted by Cable.co.uk had India in the first position with a data cost of $0.09 (~Rs 7.18). Although it still offers the lowest mobile data rates, this has increased over time and can be a bit alarming!
