Instagram has announced a bunch of new features and improvements coming to the app. These features include a new temporary annotation feature for Instagram Reels and the ability to add multiple songs to your Reels. The platform also makes a conscious effort to study the app's effect on teenagers. Here's a full breakdown of it.
How to Add Notes to Instagram Posts and Scrolls | Put notes on any Insta Post/Reels
You may have already used the Notes feature, but now it expands to scrolls and grid posts as well. It is available from the Share menu. The new Instagram feature lets you create temporary notes that disappear after three days. Before you share the note, you can choose who can see it: your followers who you follow back or close friends. You can also tag your friends to let them know you've left them a note.
Think of it as a way to comment on a post privately. Even the creators will not be able to see these notes left by others. But they can choose to turn off this option entirely.
Reel creators often find it limiting that you can only choose one song per reel. Instagram fixes that issue announced in an update. The platform now allows you to add more than one song to a single reel. This will make room for more creative content on the platform, as you can sync each transition with a different song.
