In a pledge to prioritize content creators, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has now announced a change to the social media platform's algorithm, which will now "value original content more." This means that creators will be able to get a better reach on content created from scratch than just being a rehashed version of some other content.

Mosseri took to Twitter to announce the change and has revealed that the change is meant to give creators more credit for what they deserve. He goes on to add that "Instagram will do more to try and value original content more, especially compared to reposted content." So creators who come up with new and fresh ideas have a better chance of getting recognition than those who just repost other people's content.
