Intel would really like businesses to buy some new PCs and is touting its latest vPro platform with a call for them to update their fleets now to be "AI-ready."

Announced at MWC 2024, we're told that the latest iteration of Intel's vPro platform for business brings the benefits of the AI PC to commercial notebook customers, in case anyone doubted that every PC will soon be an AI PC, whether you like it or not.

In addition, the Santa Clara chipmaker expanded its commercial portfolio with more 14th generation Core processors to power a range of entry-level desktops and workstations.

Intel's vPro is an enterprise platform with built-in capabilities for management, security and connectivity. Since 2022, this has been split into a vPro Essentials package aimed at SMBs, and the full-scale vPro Enterprise.
