This week, we meet a reader we'll regomize as "Niall," who recounted his time as an intern at "a well-known massive semiconductor company."

Niall's team developed firmware and software; a role that saw it equipped with what he described as "a couple of *nix servers used for general development / testing / continuous integration tasks."

Everyone on the team, even low-key Niall, had a superuser account on these boxes.
