“Corto Maltese” is entirely fictional, also appearing in Frank Miller’s graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns as the name of an island at the center of an incident not unlike the Cuban missile crisis. The name was given as a homage to the Italian comic series of the same name.

Laurel Lance / Black Canary (Earth-1) Dinah Laurel Lance (portrayed by Katie Cassidy; main: seasons 1–4; guest: 5-8) is an assistant district attorney and Oliver Queen’s ex-girlfriend. She later becomes a vigilante known as Black Canary.

It is a fictional place that was originally created for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. It was first mentioned in the DC comics in 1990 and mentioned again in 1992. As far as the location is concerned, Corto Maltese is a small island which is located off the coast of South America.

Unfortunately, the Soviets noticed Superman’s presence in the Corto Maltese conflict. In retaliation, they launched a nuclear missile towards America, causing a giant EMP blackout in the country, including Gotham City. Various DC films and television shows featured Corto Maltese in the past.

This beautiful oceanside park plays the role of Lian-Yu in the series, the island in the North China Sea Oliver Queen is stuck on after the shipwreck. While not actually an island, Whytecliff Park is a beautiful place to visit and spend an afternoon exploring the cliffs and enjoying the amazing views of Howe Sound.

If you’ve ever drooled over the beauty of Oliver……..’s mansion, then you’re in for a treat: the Queen Mansion’s real life location is Hatley Castle, a national historic site on Vancouver Island, near the province’s capital of Victoria.

Oliver manages to capture and unmask The Canary, revealing Sara to be alive. She eventually informs her father, SCPD Detective Quentin Lance, and looks after him and Laurel (who also later discovers she’s alive and is a vigilante). In season three, Sara is killed on a rooftop with three arrows to the chest.
