Antrum (also known as Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made) is a 2018 Canadian mockumentary horror film written and directed by David Amito and Michael Laicini. The film is divided into two parts: an opening and closing frame narrative in the form of a mockumentary and a feature film.

The found footage horror film Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made is allegedly responsible for nearly sixty deaths. It is apparently cursed and causes anyone who watches it to die shortly after their viewing.

Antrum is deliciously unsettling and deceptive at every turn. It won’t kill you — and I’m not complaining about that — but it will sit in your mind for days after. Give it a watch, and be sure to check out the Else Films YouTube channel for more from the creators.

Some films really do seem to suffer inexplicable chilling curses. Horror movie Antrum claims that 56 audience members were killed in a tragic accident in 1988 when a small movie theatre in Budapest Hungary burnt to the ground. Another screening apparently claimed a further 30 lives in an unexplained explosion.

It begins as a mockumentary, complete with faux-British voiceover narration, discussing a “lost” feature from 1979 called Antrum that seemed to summon a demonic attack on anyone who sat through it. It’s a mild bummer that Antrum never gets scarier or more exciting than with that 30-second countdown.
