If you remember the plot of Mad Max: Fury Road released in 2015, we see Furiosa and Max Rockatansky go on a quest to find somewhere known only as Green Place. When they reach the said place, they find it uninhabitable. A woman who lives there says she remembers Furiosa as one of the early residents of Green Place who was taken from them as a child. The trailer shows us this very abduction taking place, confirming that Furiosa is a Prequel to Mad Max Fury Road.
