What Is Open for Tourists in Lithuania? According to Lithuania’s official travel website, all tourist attractions are open in the country with only minimal restrictions in place. As such, all persons arriving in Lithuania will be able to find most places open, including hotels, shopping centres, cinemas, and galleries.

Lithuania is a relatively safe place to visit, with a low crime rate. There are, however, certain locations and areas where the risk is slightly greater, particularly after dark. Lithuania is a lovely place to visit and offers much more to tourists than meets the eye.

In 2018, 1.7 million international tourists visited Lithuania, staying 3.7 million nights and spending EUR 1.2 billion – amounting to 12.2% of service exports. Tourists from Germany were the largest market with 214 100 overnight visitors, an increase of 21.6% over 2017.
