I started using the AP5 while in HS playing 50-60 wood bat games per summer. No other bat has matched the consistent standards for high quality wood, attention to detail in production and feel at the plate. This bat performs consistently with great pop and durability. I won’t even consider using another wood bat.

I personally like the Marucci Cat 8 BBCOR bat the best followed closely by the new Cat 9. This bat has just been released and will be the hottest bat of 2021.

Marucci Lindy12 Maple Bat
Francisco Lindor’s Lindy12 model is a hybrid of two Marucci models. It features a JB19 barrel and a thinner version of the flared knob you would see on a JA27. Lindor uses different weights in 33.5 inches and 34 inches depending on how he is feeling at the plate.

Marucci became the biggest bat company in the MLB by partnering with players instead of paying them as spokesmen. Marucci started out as a backyard hobby project. But by partnering with players instead of paying them for promotion, it became the biggest bat-maker in the big leagues.

The AP5 is similar to the traditional I13 turn model with a medium tapered handle and knob. The CAT8 Connect BBCOR bat is similar in shape and feel to the AP5 with its higher M.O.I. and end-loaded feel along with a tapered handle around the knob.

The AP5 professional player wood baseball bat is modeled after a copy of the bat swung by one of the Angels’ power hitters. Similar to Phoenix’s NP13 Popular Game Bat model but with a slightly longer barrel, the AP5 wood bat transitions in to a medium diameter handle.
