Marvel fans worried about X-Men '97 Season 2, fear the series could repeat the mistakes of Dark Phoenix after making a controversial decision.

Why I'm not watching X-Men Dark Phoenix

It was nothing less than a shock to Marvel fans when Marvel Studios released X-Men '97. A sequel to the beloved original series, X-Men: The Animated Series, no fan expected the show to have such meticulous storytelling and stay true to its core mythos.

But with X-Men '97's Season 2 announcement, Marvel Studios may have already made a mistake similar to Fox's ill-fated Dark Phoenix saga.

While season one of X-Men '97 ended with a bang and more, quickly becoming one of the best Marvel series of all time, fans have been eagerly awaiting its second season. And according to Marvel Studios' recent D23 2024 presentation, the season may be closer than we think.
